Nothing upfront! We work on a contingency fee basis, which means you don't pay unless we win your case. If we don't recover compensation for you, you owe us nothing. Our fee is a percentage of the settlement or verdict, so we only get paid when you do.
In Texas, you generally have two years from the date of your injury to file a premises liability lawsuit. However, it's critical to contact an attorney as soon as possible. Evidence can disappear, witnesses can forget details, and the sooner we start building your case, the better.
You may be entitled to compensation for medical expenses (past and future), lost wages, pain and suffering, disability, loss of enjoyment of life, and in some cases, punitive damages. The value of your case depends on the severity of your injuries and the circumstances of the accident.
Not necessarily. Many slip and fall cases are settled out of court through negotiations with the property owner's insurance company. However, if a fair settlement cannot be reached, we are prepared to take your case to trial to fight for the compensation you deserve.
Texas follows a modified comparative negligence rule. This means you can still recover damages even if you were partially at fault, as long as you were less than 51% responsible. Your compensation will be reduced by your percentage of fault.
Every case is unique. Some cases settle in a few months, while others may take a year or more, especially if litigation is necessary. We work as efficiently as possible while ensuring we maximize your compensation. We'll keep you informed every step of the way.
1) Seek medical attention immediately, 2) Report the incident to the property owner or manager, 3) Take photos of the hazard and your injuries, 4) Get contact info from witnesses, 5) Keep all medical records and receipts, 6) Don't give recorded statements to insurance companies without consulting an attorney, 7) Contact Connect Quest for a free case evaluation.
Be cautious! Insurance adjusters may seem friendly, but their goal is to minimize the payout or deny your claim entirely. Do not give recorded statements, sign any documents, or accept any settlement offers before consulting with an attorney. Contact us first to protect your rights.
